Please be advised that the current version of the I-9 form is set to expire on March 31, 2016. However the Department of Homeland Security-- U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is still in the process of finalizing a new version of the form and has extended the deadline for the public to provide comments to their proposed changes to the Form I-9 until April 27, 2016. In the meantime, Employers must continue to use the current version of Form I-9 until the Office of Management and Budget approves the proposed version and USCIS posts it on I-9 Central. The new form will likely be issued later this Spring or early Summer. We will continue to keep you posted on the issuance of the new version of the form.
